Thomas Baranowski

Tommy Baranowski was born and raised in bristol, CT. At the age of six you could find tommy bush wacking throught the woods with rod in hand. In April 2003 he became an eagle scout. Tommy picked up a love for fishing from his father who has been trout fishing in CT and the great lakes region since the early 70s. Lake Ontario, the Salmon and Oswego rivers were their stompping grounds. After highschool Tom was introduced to flyfishing by a good friend and charter captain Aaron Cascone. Arron worked at Orvis and introduced Tom to Derrick Kirkpatrick, Andy Haberman and Johnny Slauenwhite. You could always find Tommy in the shop sharpining his skills, cracking jokes and hungry for fresh tactics. Tommy is an artistic fly tier do much to the fact of his teacher, Andy Haberman. His nymphing skills fine tuned by Derrick Kirkpatrick, Kierran Broatch and Aarron Swanson.

Toms first love is small stream fishing. He spends alot of time in the woods humpin up streams looking for new untouched spots. These days you will most likely find him backpacking the appalachian trail in NY, CT and MA, fishing small streams as he goes. Tommy spends a good bit of time out at night and has developed his own low light patters. He is also a fine photographer.
